What is the Coast Guard Auxiliary?
Since its creation by Congress in 1939, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary has served as the civilian non-military component of the Coast Guard. Today, the 33,000 volunteer men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary are active on the waterways and classrooms in over 2,000 cities and towns across the nation. Each year, Auxiliarist (just like you) save almost 500 lives, assist some 15,000 boaters in distress, conduct more than 150,000 courtesy safety examinations of recreational vessels and teach over 500,000 students in boating and water safety courses. The results of these efforts save taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars every year.

The Bullhead City Flotilla was charted in October 28, 1967. Our organization has a very active group of Auxiliarist who are involved in many activities including Boat Safety Training and Boat Safety Inspections for the General Public. Our Instructors hold classes on Boat Safety, Basic Computer Training, Navigation, Weather, Coxswain, Communications, and many other subjects on Safety and Education. Arizona shares the Colorado River with California and Nevada. Our Flotilla covers over 100 miles of river ways from North Lake Havasu to Boulder Dam. This includes Davis Dam, AZ, Cottonwood Cove, NV, Lake Mead, and Willow Beach, AZ to name a few. Our door is always open to new men and women who would like to join an elite group for the benefit of the Boating Public.
